MULTAN:Preparations for Eid Milad-ul-Nabi celebrations were on full swing as CEO MWMC Muhammad Farooq Dogar has cancelled the holiday of workers on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal (Oct -9) in order to decorate the processions routes.
The operational and workshop staff of the company will also remain on duty. The operational wing of the company paid special focus on cleanliness of the roads leading to Hussain Agahi where all the rallies and processions of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi will pass.
A special cleanliness squad has been deployed for cleanliness of walled city and Alung areas.
Arrangements for purchasing white powder for lime lining of roads and phenyl have been completed. The waste and debris lifting from Eid Milad procession routes was underway. Scraping is being done to remove mud from the dividers of all main roads and flyovers.
Extensive cleaning arrangements were made in Mumtazabad in view of torch bearer Milad rally here on Saturday.
Multan Waste Management Company will start cleanliness and decorating the roads and intersections at 5:00 a.m. on 12 Rabi ul Awal.
