Islamabad: Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday visited the residence of former federal minister, MNA and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice, late Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk, and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
The Speaker offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed for the elevation of his ranks in the hereafter.
Ayaz Sadiq said that the death of Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk was an irreparable loss.
He paid tribute to the late parliamentarian for his parliamentary, political and social services.
The Speaker said that Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk had performed his responsibilities as a member of the National Assembly with dedication and sincerity.
He termed him as a capable, astute and active parliamentarian who rendered valuable services for legislation, promotion of democratic values and public welfare.
Ayaz Sadiq said the National Assembly had lost an experienced and active member, adding that the late parliamentarian’s parliamentary and public services would always be remembered.
He expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and said he shared their grief and sorrow in this difficult hour.
Ayaz Sadiq prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the departed soul a high place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and give patience and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
