RAWALPINDI:Pakistan Sweet Home Blood Bank and Zamurad Khan in collaboration with Rawalpindi District Administration here on Sunday organized a blood donation camp at Food Street Saddar Rawalpindi Cantt on the eve of New Year with the aim to highlight its mission of saving innocent lives.

The blood donation camp was participated by a large number of young people who started the new year by donating their blood for minor patients of thalassemia.

On this occasion, head of Pakistan Sweet Home Zamurad Khan visited the blood camp and encouraged the volunteers who donated blood. He said that the camp was organized with aim to donate blood by the youth for a noble humanitarian cause instead of wasting the time in fireworks and other useless activities at the beginning of the new year. “Indeed, saving the life of one person is equal to saving all humanity,” he added.

Khan said that donating blood at the beginning of the New Year was a perpetual charity and a practical expression of love for humanity as well as a great act of worship. “I am very grateful to the Rawalpindi District administration and especially the Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (R) Shoaib Ali who fully cooperated with us in this camp today.”

In 2022, the Pakistan Sweet Home collected more than 10,000 blood donations, saving more than 30,000 lives and was determined to collect another 25,000 blood donations in 2023 and saved millions of innocent lives, he said. Obviously, the children fighting against thalassemia, hemophilia and blood cancer are not alone and if I have to travel all over Pakistan, I will campaign for them from city to city. I am extremely grateful to all the donors who came to donate blood on our call and supported us in this noble cause,” he concluded.

He also said that Pakistan Sweet Home was not only supporting the lives of thousands of orphans but was also saving the lives of millions of innocent children.
