Lahore: The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) on Wednesday organised a ceremony to honour position holders and high-achieving students of its partner schools who excelled in the Matriculation Examination 2026.
Provincial Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat, who was the chief guest, distributed cash prizes and laptops among the high-performing students. PEF Chairman Malik Shoaib Awan and Managing Director Shahid Farid also attended the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, the minister said the students’ achievement of top positions in educational boards reflected their hard work and the quality of education being provided through PEF partner schools. He appreciated their outstanding performance and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their educational and professional careers.
Among the position holders, Farwa Ahmed, daughter of Muneer Ahmed, secured overall third position in the Dera Ghazi Khan Board by obtaining 1,189 marks. She received a cash prize of Rs125,000 and a laptop.
Kashaf Saeed, daughter of Saeed Ahmed, secured third position among female students in the Dera Ghazi Khan Board with 1,187 marks and received a cash prize of Rs50,000 and a laptop.
PEF also awarded laptops to six students in recognition of their exceptional academic performance. The recipients were Atika, daughter of Abdul Jabbar, from the Lahore Board with 1,184 marks; Syeda Tawasul Zahra Zaidi from the Dera Ghazi Khan Board with 1,182 marks; Sundas Yasmeen from the Dera Ghazi Khan Board with 1,181 marks; Amina Tariq from the Multan Board with 1,181 marks; Fatima Yousaf from the Sahiwal Board with 1,181 marks; and Saliha Nasir from the Sargodha Board with 1,181 marks.
