Peshawar: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) on Friday announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across various grid stations and transmission lines in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to essential maintenance work.
The temporary outages are expected to cause inconvenience to consumers in the affected areas, said the company spokesman.
According to PESCO, electricity supply from the Jamrud Grid Station will remain suspended on January 13 and 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. affecting consumers of Kacha Ghari, Gulabad, and Karkhanoo feeders.
Similarly, power supply from the Peshawar Cantt Grid Station will be suspended on January 12, 15, and 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.resulting in outages in Old Badbair, Saphan, PAF, Livestock, and Hassan Khel feeders.
The Kuram Ghari Transmission Line will undergo maintenance on January 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. during which consumers connected to Kuram Ghari and Kuram Ghari Power House grids will face power suspension.
Electricity supply from the Karak-Sabir Abad Transmission Line will remain suspended on January 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. affecting Sabir Abad grid-connected feeders.
Additionally, power supply from the D.I. Khan Grid Station will be disrupted on January 10, 12, and 14 from 9 a.m
to 2 p.m. impacting consumers of Muryali 1 and 2, Tousif Abad, Qayum Nagar, Town Hall, City 1 and 2, MMM Hospital, Jail, Industrial Estate, and University feeders.
Furthermore, the Matta-Khwaza Khela Transmission Line will remain shut down on January 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. affecting electricity supply to Khwaza Khela, Madyan, Shangla, and Daral Khwar grid-connected feeders.
PESCO has advised consumers to take necessary precautions during the outage periods and assured that power supply will be restored immediately after completion of maintenance work.
