Lahore: The Department of Specialized Health has banned representatives of pharmaceutical companies from government teaching hospitals, while instructions have also been issued to register cases for violations.
The Department of Specialized Health sources said that in this connection, instructions have been issued to all teaching hospitals that medical reps within the hospital premises will be considered illegal.
According to the Department of Specialized Health sources, action will be taken against doctors facilitating medical rape, doctors in government hospitals should stay away from medical representatives, and all professors, including doctors, have been instructed to inform them about the ban on medical reps.
An order has also been issued to register FIRs against medical reps caught within the limits of hospitals.
