PHP released performance report for Sept

Sargodha: Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Sargodha Region registered 329 cases under Section 279 of the Pakistan Penal Code for speeding during September 2026, besides booking 246 vehicles for using gas cylinders.



According to the monthly performance report released by the PHP spokesman, police also recovered a stolen motorcycle and registered six cases of illegal weapons and two cases relating to drugs during the month.



The report said 46 proclaimed offenders and 10 court fugitives were arrested during various operations, while 4,496 different types of assistance were provided to citizens.



The spokesman said 36,327 challans were issued for violations of traffic rules involving public and other transport.



He said 688 motorcycle learner permits and 512 motorcycle driving licenses were issued, while 2,439 other facilities were provided to citizens.



The spokesman said the Punjab Highway Patrol Sargodha Region was making efforts to protect the lives and property of citizens, ensure safe highways and prevent crime.



He said provision of safe travel, timely assistance and better facilities to the public remained the PHP’s priority, adding that serving and protecting the people was its foremost duty.
