SARGODHA:The ‘Plant for Pakistan campaign’ is in full swing in educational institutions throughout the district.
In this regard, a ceremony was held at Government Anbala Muslim Graduate College, here on Saturday.
Over 2,000 female and male students of the college along with Commissioner Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti planted saplings on Kot Fareed Road and Vegetable Market Road.
The commissioner stressed the need for individual and collective efforts to save the motherland from environmental pollution. “For the purpose, it is necessary to follow the slogan ‘Ek Bashr Do Shajar’ (Every individual must plant two trees),” he added.
He said it would not be possible to achieve real results until the importance of the tree plantation campaign was highlighted among the new generation. Students expressed their love for plants and the benefits of plantation through their informative views on the occasion.
Director Colleges Chaudhary Sarfraz Gujjar, Deputy Director Colleges Abu-Al-Hassan Naqvi, Principal GAMGC Dr Azhar Abbas, Prof Murtaza and teachers were also present.
