ISLAMABAD:Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N Engineer Khurram Dastagir Khan on Tuesday said that his party would bring economic reforms and speed up development works in the country.
Administrative, economic, and industrial reforms are imperative to change the life of the common man, he said while talking to a private television channel.
There is a dire need to amend hundred-year-old laws to achieve objectives, he said adding that a full mandate government could do this task of amending laws through a parliamentary system.
About Nawaz Sharif’s role in Pakistan, he said that the PML-N chief has a vast track record of delivering to the masses. He said that Nawaz Sharif after starting the election campaign will ask vote from the public to gain a heavy mandate.
In reply to a question about coalition government performance, he said, coalition partners had served this country for sixteen months and during this period, they saved Pakistan from falling into the default line. A democratically elected government with a five-year mandate could help address issues of inflation, poverty, and weak economy, he said.
The PML-N, he said is preparing a manifesto to show the general public to get votes in the next elections. We had completed a number of projects in the past, he said adding that people will vote for Nawaz Sharif on his previous performance.
To a question, he said Maryam Nawaz had been in-touch with voters and workers for the last many months. He hoped
that PML-N will win the general elections under the leadership and guidance of Nawaz Sharif.
