Lahore: Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) has announced a nationwide protest on Friday against an attempted drone attack on Makkah.
According to a spokesperson, conferences, seminars and protest rallies would be held in different cities, while religious scholars would highlight the sanctity of the holy sites in their Friday sermons.
Addressing a meeting on Wednesday, PMML spokesperson Dr Muzamil Iqbal Hashmi said Makkah and Madinah were centres of love and devotion for Muslims across the world. He said the Muslim Ummah was united over the sanctity of the two holy mosques and that no disruptive group should be allowed to threaten the sacred places.
