Larkana:Under the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Qambar Shahdadkot Hassan Sardar Ahmed Khan Niazi, police operations are ongoing across the district against drug dealers, gamblers and criminal elements on Monday.
On October 12, during various operations, five accused, including two alleged drug dealers, and four more accused, including an accused wanted in a murder case, were arrested. Police recovered gutka, charas, weapons, playing cards and cash from the arrested accused and registered cases, while further investigation is ongoing.
According to, SHO B Section Shahdadkot Inspector Tufail Ahmed Ahmdani, along with police staff, while on patrol acted on secret information and conducted an operation on Sajawal Road, arresting alleged history-sheeter drug dealer Waqar Ali Brohi. From the accused, 10 packets of gutka, stated to have a total weight of 1,545 grams, were recovered, and FIR No. 91/2026 was registered.
In another operation, Police Post Shaheed Sanaullah Chandio (Deera) in-charge Inspector Saeed Ahmed Dhar, along with staff, conducted an operation against a drug dealer and arrested accused Waqar Shams Thehim, from whom 110 grams of charas was recovered. In this connection, FIR No. 208/2026 was registered and further legal action was initiated.
Similarly, SHO Nasirabad Police Station Sub-Inspector Rao Fayyaz Ahmed, along with a police team, acted on secret information and arrested three accused allegedly involved in gambling: Ali Asghar Chandio, Saeed Ahmed Chandio and Waheed Chandio. Police recovered 52 playing cards and 2,000 rupees in cash from the accused and registered FIR No. 207/2026.
On the other hand, under the orders of SSP Qambar Shahdadkot, during operations against criminal and wanted accused, accused Usman Mugsi, wanted in a murder case, was also arrested. According to the police spokesman, SHO Sajawal Junejo Police Station Inspector Rafiq Ahmed Kheiro, along with police staff, acted on secret information and conducted an operation near Haider Shah Mor, arresting the accused. The accused was wanted in murder case FIR No. 68/2026 registered at Sajawal Junejo Police Station. Police recovered from the accused one pistol with magazine allegedly used in the crime and also registered FIR No. 80/2026 for possession of the weapon.
Furthermore, SHO A Section Shahdadkot Inspector Ali Hassan Mughairi, along with a police team, acted on secret information and conducted an operation near Karam Khan Pump, arresting three accused wanted in a case: Irfan Brohi, Sharbat Brohi and Saddam Channo.
According to police, the said accused were wanted in FIR No. 168/2026 registered at A Section Shahdadkot Police Station, which includes allegations of interference in the duties of government officials, resistance and gambling.
According to the police spokesman, further investigation is ongoing with all arrested accused, and legal action is being taken in the registered cases against them. Under the instructions of SSP Qambar Shahdadkot Hassan Sardar Ahmed Khan Niazi, police have expressed commitment to continue operations to curb drug trafficking, gambling and other crimes. According to police authorities, actions to maintain law and order in the district and against criminal elements in accordance with the law will be made more effective.
