LAHORE: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sports Wing expressed its enthusiasm for the Pakistan Super League 9 (PSL-9), highlighting its potential to unearth fresh cricket talent nationwide.
In a statement issued on Sunday by PPP Sports Wing Central Punjab Vice President Mian Attique Ahmad emphasized the significance of PSL in fostering a conducive environment for budding cricketers, foreseeing its positive impact on the future of Pakistani cricket.
Ahmed proposed a visionary idea to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), advocating for organisation of a dedicated PSL event tailored for smaller and underprivileged cities. He underscored the importance of providing opportunities for local and young cricketers from these regions to showcase their skills on a larger platform. By expanding PSL’s reach to these areas, Ahmed believes that it will not only democratize access to cricket opportunities but also contribute significantly to the development of grassroots cricket talent across Pakistan.
