Premium lounge dining car in Khyber Mail

Lahore

LAHORE: The Pakistan Railways has launched a premium lounge dining car in the Khyber Mail Express in an exciting development.

According to the PR spokesperson on Thursday, the PR offered passengers, traveling between Karachi and Lahore, a new level of comfort and dining options. The newly introduced dining car features more spacious seating, accommodating up to 34 passengers at a time, and includes a designated area for prayer.

Passengers can enjoy a diverse menu of around 40 meal options, including traditional Pakistani dishes, Italian cuisine, and fast food items. The initiative aims to enhance the overall travel experience with a focus on quality food and service.

This is part of a broader effort to upgrade train services. PR CEO Amir Baloch emphasised the commitment to ensuring the highest quality of food. A similar dining car is planned to be installed in the Allama Iqbal Express by September, following the successful introduction of premium lounge dining cars in the Bahauddin Zakariya and Tezgam Expr
ess trains.
