LAHORE: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met police employees and their families at the Central Police Office here on Thursday.
He listened to the requests presented by the police employees and issued immediate relief orders. He emphasised that it is the responsibility of the relevant supervisory officers to promptly address the personal, professional, and other issues faced by the police employees. Therefore, all officers should improve their liaison and coordination with their subordinate staff.
According to the details IG Punjab forwarded the application of Ghazi Constable Ansar Shehzad regarding promotion to DIG Telecommunication for immediate relief. He directed DIG Telecommunication to provide relief regarding the request of constable Dilshad Ahmad from Gujranwala for inclusion in the A-1 list. He sent the request of Traffic Warden Zeeshan Azhar for provision of official accommodation to the CCPO Lahore for relief. Dr. Usman Anwar instructed DIG Welfare to provide assistance fo
r the medical treatment of Constable Muhammad Aslam’s son.The request for providing a maintenance allowance to the widow of constable Muhammad Tahir was sent to DIG Welfare for resolution.
IG Punjab directed Additional IG Punjab to provide relief for Traffic Warden Mansoor Ahmed’s departmental promotion request. He issued orders to provide relief on other requests related to recruitment, discipline, welfare etc. He emphasized that the best welfare of police employees and their families is a top priority, and all applications should be addressed promptly. Dr. Usman Anwar instructed the officers to ensure that requests from police employees and their families are resolved at the grassroots level.
