Lahore: Preparations of Pakistan Markazi Muslim League’s (PMML) four-day nationwide Independence Day celebrations have entered the final phase. The programmes will be held under the theme ‘Azadi ka paigham: La ilaha illallah. Muhammadur Rasulullah ka nizam’. All-Parties Conferences (APCs) will be held across the country on Tuesday.
PMML President Khalid Masood Sandhu urged citizens to actively participate in the Independence Day programmes and demonstrate their commitment to Pakistan.
The four-day celebrations will formally begin with APCs at the district level. Leaders of political and religious parties will address the conferences. In Lahore. Khalid Masood Sandhu and other leaders will speak at an APC.
On August 12 and 13. the party’s women. student and other wings will organise rallies and conferences across the country. On August 14. religious scholars will highlight the Ideology of Pakistan in Friday sermons. while programmes will also be held at union council and district levels.
In Islamabad. children participated in a Kids Independence Walk carrying national flags and cards displaying messages including ‘Pakistan Zindabad. ‘ ‘Nazriya Pakistan hi baqai Pakistan (Ideology of Pakistan is the Guarantee of Pakistan’s Survival)’ and others. ‘
PMML leaders. including Secretary General Saifullah Qasuri. Vice Presidents Hafiz Talha Saeed and Hafiz Abdul Rauf. Joint Secretary Muhammad Yaqoob Sheikh. Deputy Secretary General Khalid Naik Gujjar. spokesperson Dr. Muzammil Iqbal Hashmi. Khidmat-e-Khalq President Shafiq-ur-Rehman Waraich and Muslim Youth League President Tabish Qayyum. said Pakistan was established on the basis of the Kalima.
They said the country’s political and economic challenges could be addressed through a system based on Islamic principles. national unity and justice. They also expressed support for initiatives aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s development. security and sovereignty.
