PTI chairman challenges dismissal of his interim bails

Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday challenged the termination of his pre-arrest bail by the accountability court in cases pertaining to the Al-Qadir Trust and Toshakhana.

The PTI chief stated that the trial court had dismissed his bail petition on basis of non-pursuance. He said that he couldn’t appear before the court after his arrest in Toshakhana case.

In separate petitions filed, chairman PTI said that on August 5, he was convicted in the Toshakhana criminal proceedings case and was shifted on same date.

He said that he was not able to appear before the trial court while staying in prison. It prayed the court to set aside the verdict of accountability court of dismissing his bail.
