Quetta traffic police intensify crackdown on unlicensed and underage drivers

Quetta Traffic Police Quetta have intensified operations against underage drivers, motorists without licenses and vehicles lacking proper documentation in a bid to ensure road safety, protect lives and curb the rising number of accidents.

According to the spokesperson of Balochistan Police, during the past two months 9,607 driving licenses were issued upon completion of formalities, while fines amounting to Rs. 11,648,700 were collected for various traffic violations. These included driving without a license, illegal parking, wrong-way driving, and underage individuals operating motorcycles, cars, and tractors.

The spokesperson emphasized that strict enforcement of traffic laws aims to provide a safe travel environment and significantly reduce accident rates. He noted that underage drivers pose serious risks due to lack of awareness of traffic rules and inability to handle emergencies. Special campaigns are being run against underage motorcyclists, with appeals to parents to prevent children from driving.

raffic Police have urged citizens to obtain valid driving licenses, carry necessary documents, obey traffic rules, and use helmets while riding motorcycles. Citizens have also been advised to follow speed limits, lane discipline, and traffic signals to ensure their own safety and that of others.

Awareness pamphlets have been distributed across the city to encourage compliance and promote responsible driving. The spokesperson stressed that public cooperation is essential for improving the traffic system, preventing accidents, and safeguarding lives and property.
