Quetta: Balochistan Education Minister Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani on Tuesday said that the Education Department would continue to take steps to improve the quality of education in the province, provide quality education to students and promote positive and constructive activities in educational institutions.
She expressed these views while addressing a ceremony of Science and Arts Exhibition at Government Girls Degree College, Quarry Road, Quetta. She also appreciated the organization of Science and Arts Exhibition at Government Girls Degree College, Quarry Road, Quetta, such extracurricular activities play an important role in promoting the creativity, scientific and research thinking and self-confidence of the female students.
Director Colleges Prof Muhammad Hussain Bakhsh Baloch, Joint Director Colleges Ms. Saeeda Niaz and Education Specialist Ms. Sadia Farooqi were also present on the occasion.
They reviewed the scientific and creative projects presented by the female students in the exhibition and appreciated their efforts.
Addressing the participants, the Provincial Education Minister said that the female students of Balochistan have immense potential and that providing them with better educational opportunities and a conducive environment to express their talents is among the priorities of the provincial government.
She said that through science and arts activities, students could be made compatible with modern requirements and also develop a tendency towards research, creation and practical experiments.
She said that the scientific models and experimental project samples presented by the students in the exhibition held at Government Girls Degree College, Quari Road, Quetta reflect their hard work, ability and creativity.
The Provincial Education Minister further said that the Education Department would continue to take steps to improve the quality of education in the province, provide quality education to students and promote positive and constructive activities in educational institutions. She congratulated the college administration, teachers and students on organizing the successful exhibition.
On this occasion, the Principal of Government Girls Degree College, Quarry Road, Quetta said that various educational and extra-curricular activities are organized in the college to highlight the academic, scientific and creative abilities of the students, saying that the Science and Arts Exhibition aims to provide opportunities for students to express their talents as well as attract them towards research, experiments and practical activities.
