Faisalabad: Torrential rain and inclement weather on Monday disrupted electricity supply across several parts of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) region,triggering tripping on transmission lines and affecting more than 250 feeders in Faisalabad,Mianwali,Sargodha,Toba Tek Singh and Jhang circles.
According to FESCO spokesman, electricity supply was disrupted in various areas of Faisalabad First and Second Circles as well as Mianwali,Sargodha,Toba Tek Singh and Jhang circles following tripping on power lines amid deteriorating weather conditions.
He said that FESCO field teams had been placed on high alert and they were working to identify and rectify faults to restore electricity supply to the affected feeders at the earliest.
He said that FESCO Chief Executive Engineer Muhammad Amir was personally monitoring the restoration operation and he directed the relevant staff to expedite repair work and ensure early restoration of power to consumers.
He said that the affected feeders would be restored promptly after rectification of the faults and clearance of the lines, adding that field teams were working continuously despite the adverse weather conditions.
FESCO spokesman expressed regret to consumers for the temporary interruption in electricity supply caused by the inclement weather and assured them that all possible efforts were being made to restore power as quickly as possible.
