District

Rawalpindi The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has sought proposals through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) for consultancy services for the proposed slaughter house at Bhatta Chowk.

According to the procurement notice, the consultancy services include preparation of detailed design, cost estimation, bidding documents and construction supervision for the proposed project.

The procurement was published on September 28, while the deadline for submission of proposals has been fixed as October 16, at 1 00 pm.

The consultancy process will facilitate the technical and financial preparation of the project, including detailed planning and documentation, before commencement of the development work.

The proposed slaughter house would be spread over 16 kanals and was being planned to provide improved and more accessible facilities to residents of Rawalpindi Cantonment and adjoining areas.

The proposed facility was expected to serve residents and surrounding localities that currently have to travel to Sihala for slaughtering facilities, helping provide a more accessible facility closer to the population of the cantonment and adjoining areas.
