Rescue 1122 responds to over 22,000 emergencies across KP in September

Peshawar Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provided emergency services in 22,410 incidents across the province during September including 13,932 medical emergencies and 1,971 road traffic accidents.



According to the monthly performance report released by Rescue 1122 KP spokesperson Bilal Ahmed Faizi, the emergency service responded to incidents reported from September 1 to 30, providing timely rescue and medical assistance to affected people.



The report showed that Rescue 1122 dealt with 239 fire incidents, 365 crime-related emergencies, 34 drowning incidents, 12 wall and roof collapse cases, one mine accident, nine explosions including cylinder blasts, and 633 other emergencies during the month.



Rescue teams provided on-site medical assistance to 21,995 patients and shifted them to hospitals where required.



Operations were also conducted to evacuate people from dangerous situations and move affected persons to safer locations.



The service also handled 5,214 referral emergencies, including the transfer of 2,733 patients within the province and 2,481 patients to hospitals outside KP. Overall, Rescue 1122 facilitated the transportation of 5,313 patients during the month.



The report said 413 people lost their lives in different emergencies during September.



Rescue 1122 personnel continued to provide emergency medical assistance and rescue services during road accidents, fires, drowning incidents, building collapses, crime-related incidents and other emergencies.



The spokesperson said Rescue 1122 remained operational round the clock to provide immediate assistance to citizens and urged people to call 1122 in case of an emergency and cooperate with rescue personnel during operations.
