Rescue 1122 Malakand responds to 282 emergencies, rescues 273 people in September

Malakand Rescue 1122 Malakand responded to 282 emergencies and rescued 273 people during September 2026 under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Nasir Khan, according to the monthly performance report, released on Wednesday.



The report showed that medical emergencies accounted for the highest number of incidents at 234, followed by 32 road traffic accidents, four fire incidents, three drowning cases, seven recovery operations and two incidents involving firing or violence.



During the month, Rescue 1122 received 7,828 calls, including 2,684 informational calls and 4,862 irrelevant calls. Under its referral ambulance service, 199 patients were shifted to healthcare facilities, including 88 intra-district and 111 inter-district transfers.



The Rescue 1122 training wing also conducted fire safety and first aid training sessions at schools, colleges and private institutions during the month. The sessions were aimed at enhancing awareness and preparedness among students and members of the public to deal with emergencies effectively.
