LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken a commendable step for the welfare of the families of police employees who died during service.
This initiative by IG Punjab has alleviated the financial difficulties of the families of police employees who passed away during their service. The IG Punjab has issued orders to grant Rs750 million to the families of 362 employees who died during service in various districts, including Lahore. He said that the families of every police employee who died during service would receive an immediate financial grant according to the rules and regulations. He mentioned that Rs10 million was being spent daily on various welfare initiatives for the force.
This year, over Rs1.3 billion is being spent on funds for employees and their families. The IG Punjab emphasized that the issues of police employees regarding health, education, weddings, pensions, and other matters were being resolved promptly. He instructed supervisory officers to maintain a close li
aison with their subordinates and provide all possible relief. He assured that the Central Police Office will continue to address the issues faced by employees through the Police Welfare Fund and welfare resources, ensuring immediate relief.
