Dera ismail khan: The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) monitoring teams here on Friday inspected bus terminals to assess facilities, cleanliness and services being provided to passengers.
Led by Secretary RTA Dera Shaukat Iqbal, the teams inspected the C-Class Bus Stand (Cantt Adda) and D-Class Bus Stand (Rehman Terminal) and reviewed the availability and functioning of essential facilities.
The teams checked separate waiting areas and washrooms for men and women, drivers’ rest areas, CCTV cameras, solar systems, drinking water, lighting, ticketing arrangements, complaint desks, tuck shops, vehicle washing areas, mechanic shops, entry and exit points, first-aid facilities, fans and passenger shelters.
The validity of bus stand licenses and relevant documents was also checked to ensure compliance with prescribed rules and licensing conditions.
The overall condition of both terminals was found satisfactory. However, the managements were directed to maintain cleanliness and ensure that all essential facilities remain available and functional.
They were also asked to address any shortcomings promptly to ensure safe, comfortable and improved travel facilities for passengers.
