Muzaffarabad: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Election commission on Friday declared three Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and one Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate returned as Kashmir Council members unopposed as no other contesting candidate filed nomination papers.
The election commission had announced polling on four Kashmir Council’s vacant seats on October 12 while three candidates including Raja Mushtaq Mehnas, Chaudhary Muhammad Saeed and Chaudhary Manzoor on PMLN ticket and one Chaudhary Latif Akbar on PPP ticket filed their nomination papers till the last date announced for the filling of nomination papers.
After scrutiny, their nomination papers were declared valid and after passing the date for withdrawal of nomination, the election commission declared them as return candidates and notification in this effect has also been issued.
