PESHAWAR:A drone attack targeting Hassan Khel Police Station on the outskirts of Peshawar was foiled after an explosive device carried by a quadcopter became trapped in an anti-drone safety net installed on the station’s roof, preventing it from reaching the building.
According to initial police report, the incident occurred on Wednesday morning when unidentified miscreants attempted to drop an explosive device on the police station using a quadcopter.
Reports said an energy drink bottle was used as the casing for the suspected explosive device, which also contained nails and bolts.
The protective net prevented the device from reaching the roof, averting a potentially major incident.
