Rawalpindi: Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi has imposed an immediate Rs. 50,000.0 fine on Samli Sanatorium Hospital management over substandard sanitation, issuing a formal warning.
He reached the hospital on an unannounced visit to check the state of affairs at the hospital.
During the visit, he inspected multiple wards, interacted with admitted patients regarding service delivery and checked attendance registers to confirm staff presence. He also reviewed the diagnostic testing facilities inside the medical laboratory.
Expressing concern over unhygienic conditions on the premises, the Deputy Commissioner warned administrators that no negligence concerning cleanliness or healthcare provision will be tolerated.
He reiterated that the district administration is taking concrete steps to ensure quality healthcare services across Murree, warning that strict penalties will persist for facilities failing to maintain prescribed administrative and hygienic standards.
