Sialkot: A ceremony was organized to honour workers of Solid Waste Management Company (SWMC) in Sialkot and Daska.
Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali, Chairman Punjab Land Revenue Authority Chaudhry Tariq Subhani, Members of Provincial Assembly Muhammad Manshaullah Butt, Chaudhry Faisal Ikram and Chaudhry Naveed Ashraf attended dinners organized in the honour of the cleaning heroes of Solid Waste Management Company (SWMC) in Sialkot and Daska.
They presented a cash award of Rs 10,000 each to all SWMC workers on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for their excellent sanitation arrangements and exemplary performance on Eid-ul-Azha. This award was distributed in recognition of their tireless work and professional services.
Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali said that the sanitation heroes won the hearts of the people by making exemplary sanitation arrangements during the days of Eid. Appreciating their unparalleled services, the Punjab Chief Minister announced a reward of Rs 10,000 per worker, which is a historic step.
Chairman Punjab Land Revenue Authority Chaudhry Tariq Subhani and Member Provincial Assembly Muhammad Manshaullah Butt also addressed the ceremony. They said that thanks to the hardworking of workers, the vision of a ‘Suthra Punjab Program’ is becoming a reality. Their passion and professional performance on an important occasion like Eid is commendable, they added.
They said that dutiful officials are an asset to institutions and are being fully encouraged, while those who neglect their duties will also be held accountable.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Muhammad Iqbal Sanghera and Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Kashif Nawaz were also present.
