ISLAMABAD: The Secretary, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Muhammad Humair Karim Kidwai, on Friday met the Senior Vice President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Hara Shohei, on the sidelines of the World Bank annual meetings taking place in Bangkok,Thailand.
Kidwani thanked the SVP for JICA’s development assistance to Pakistan of more than USD 11 bn since 1954, in different sectors.
Both sides discussed support for the ML-1 project, SMEs sector, climate resilience infrastructure, disaster preparedness, digitization and IT sector, skills development, agriculture and food security, and enhancing export competitiveness, amongst other areas.
They agreed to finalize a rolling pipeline of projects for the next 3-5 years.
