Sukkur: Divisional Commissioner Sukkur, Abid Saleem Qureshi, in view of the law and order situation on Friday has imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in Sukkur District, banning gatherings, processions, rallies and demonstrations of five or more persons till September 29, 2026.
According to the notification issued by the Commissioner, the restriction has been imposed to maintain public order and ensure the protection of life and property. The concerned police officers have been directed to take legal action in case of any violation of Section 144.
The Commissioner has also directed the District Administration and Police authorities to ensure effective implementation of the notification.
