HYDERABAD: The NAB Sindh and the regional director of colleges jointly organized a seminar under the theme of “Self-Accountability is the Best Accountability”, which was attended by students of boys and girls colleges of all districts of the Hyderabad division.
Addressing the attendees, special guests of the event, and additional director colleges Professor Aftab Ahmed asserted that undoubtedly, self-accountability stands as the optimal means for both worldly success and eternal prosperity.
He emphasized that combating corruption could unquestionably succeed through self-accountability, as societies are built upon the actions of individuals, and without transparency in individual roles, a country or society cannot be free from corruption.
Professor Muhammad Hanif Durrani said, “Today, due to inflation, unemployment, and injustice, we are not among the ranks of developed nations because we fail to identify the fundamental cause of corruption.”
He defined corruption as actions that are improper and unethic
al, asserting that corruption acts as a hindrance to progress. Hence, he emphasized the necessity of initiating the process of accountability from within oneself and at home. Identifying elements involved in corruption without discrimination is imperative to combat misconduct, he stated.
On the occasion, Professor Majid Mansoori, Professor Zuhaib, Professor Nazim, and Professor Nawaz Soomro also spoke on the topic.
