Lahore: The city of gardens, Lahore, is in the grip of severe fog, due to which visibility has become extremely low and whiteness has prevailed in various areas. Due to fog and icy winds, the daily life of citizens is being badly affected. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most areas in the coming days, while fog is likely to persist in plain areas.
According to the Met office, the current temperature of Lahore has been recorded at 6 degrees Celsius, while the humidity in the air is 91 per cent. Winds are blowing at a speed of two kilometers per hour in the city and there is no chance of rain today. According to experts, the sun and clouds may continue to blink during the day, but fog is likely to persist.
In terms of air pollution, Lahore is at sixth place, where the air quality index has been recorded as 186.
On the other hand, cold and dry weather is expected in most districts of Punjab, however, Murree and Galiyat will remain extremely cold. Medium to heavy fog is likely to prevail in Sialkot, Narowal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and other districts, while haze may occur in the Potohar region in the morning.
