Sukkur: The Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) is working with the Government of Sindh on the Farm Water Management (OFWM) program to promote kitchen gardening and address food security, income generation, and malnutrition issues at the household level.
Under the Pro Poor Social Protection and Economic Sustainability Program, SRSO distributed kitchen gardening kits, including vegetable seeds, to 46 women farmers in various villages of Moro and Naushahro Feroz talukas in Naushahro Feroz district.
The aim is to enable these women to grow their own vegetables and improve their nutrition.
The SRSO team also discussed best practices for planting and maintaining kitchen gardens with the women farmers, empowering them to take charge of their food security and income generation.
