Karachi: Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has paid tribute and congratulated the security agencies for foiling a major terrorist plot.
He said that the police, security forces, and intelligence agencies are highly efficient and vigilant. This is the second major success against terrorists. Earlier, terrorists had attempted to use a girl, hatching a conspiracy to turn her into a suicide bomber by giving her a suicide jacket.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said that during the recent operation, more than two tons of explosives were recovered, which could have caused massive destruction. Timely action by the forces foiled this dangerous plot. He said he salutes all the institutions and officials who thwarted the plan and saved the country from a major tragedy.
He said that Pakistan’s enemy countries are facing failure on every front. After repeated failures, proxy terrorists are being used by countries such as India and Afghanistan to create instability in Pakistan.
He added that India has a central role in this entire process and is also using Afghan soil for its own purposes.
He said that India cannot fight a direct war against Pakistan and is therefore resorting to proxy tactics. India knows that it suffered a humiliating defeat in the recent past, which is why it has been unable to hold its ground internationally. It is now attempting to spread terrorism in Pakistan through proxies to hinder Pakistan’s development and create an environment that damages the country’s image globally.
Memon said that the entire nation is proud of its police and intelligence agencies, which took timely action and thwarted terrorism before it could materialize, thereby foiling the enemy’s intentions. He clarified that the forces are fully mobilized and that operations will continue. Any terrorist organization, proxies of the RSS or Indian intelligence agencies, if found involved in such acts, will be dealt with accordingly.
He said that terrorism in Pakistan is planned from outside the country, with these elements used as proxies by hostile states. Innocent people are lured and turned into tools, while the real planners live comfortably abroad. He said the government is taking strong action on this issue and that wherever handlers are found, action will be taken against them.
He further said that Pakistan has raised this issue effectively at all diplomatic forums.
