Sukkur: SSP Sukkur, Azhar Khan on Thursday carried out a comprehensive inspection of Muharram procession routes and security checkpoints across the city to ensure foolproof arrangements during the holy month. He directed officers and personnel deployed at these sites to remain highly alert and perform their duties with utmost diligence.
To strengthen the security grid, DSP City Badaruddin Bhutto and In-charge DIB Inspector Saeed Qazi led coordinated snap checking operations and established blockades at several locations. The district has been placed on high alert, with enhanced snap checking underway at critical points under the supervision of senior police officials.
During his visit, SSP Azhar Khan examined the entry and exit routes of processions as well as barricade points near Imambargahs, ensuring that all necessary measures are in place to guarantee a peaceful and secure environment for mourners. The police department's proactive approach aims to prevent any untoward incidents and maintain law and order during the Muharram observances.
