SSUET prepares for memorable Sir Syed Day celebration

Karachi: Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) held a pre-arrangement discussion to finalize plans for the upcoming Sir Syed Day, aiming to create a memorable and impactful celebration. The meeting brought together key figures from the university and the Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association (AMUOBA) to discuss innovative ideas and proposals for the event.



The press release issued states that Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan, President of AMUOBA and Chancellor of SSUET, asserted that, ‘As the university community prepares for Sir Syed Day, they remain committed to honoring the legacy of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan by fostering education and character development for future generations.



This year’s event is set to be a momentous occasion, celebrating SSUET’s achievements and dedication to educational excellence. We have achieved numerous significant milestones in a brief period.” He remarked that there are plans in place to further enhance the university’s growth for the benefit of both students and staff.



Mrs Erum Akbar Ali Khan, Chairperson of the Zakir Ali Khan Foundation, stated that the foundation is dedicated to pursuing the vision and mission of Zakir Ali Khan, who sought to promote education among middle-class youth. He epitomized Aligarh culture, and his legacy has taught us invaluable lessons.



He founded SSUET and AIT not only to provide education but also to focus on character development, which reflects our institution’s identity. These educational institutions were founded on the ideology of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, who advocated for accessible education for all.
