Police arrest 15 suspects, recover 13 motorcycles, drugs, cash in DIKhan

Dera ismail khan: Dera Ismail Khan Police arrested 15 suspects involved in various criminal activities, including motorcycle theft, robbery, attempted murder, drug trafficking, and recovered 13 motorcycles, narcotics, cash, mobile phones, weapons and other valuables during a series of operations conducted across the district over the past week.



According to police reports, the operations were carried out on the directives of District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmad, and under the supervision of senior police officers in different divisions and circles of the district as part of ongoing efforts to curb street crime, dismantle criminal networks, combat drug trafficking and strengthen public security.



In a significant breakthrough against motorcycle theft, Dera Town Police arrested a suspect identified as Muhammad Mudassir, son of Shahnawaz, resident of Korai. The police recovered Rs180,000, reportedly obtained from the sale of a stolen motorcycle, from his possession.



The recovered amount would be handed over to the rightful owner after completion of the necessary legal formalities. A case was registered against the suspect, who was subsequently sent to jail, while further investigation was underway.



The operation was conducted under the leadership of SP City Division Muhammad Nauman, with the supervision of DSP Suburban Circle Muhammad Imran Kundi and SHO Dera Town Gulsher Khan.



In another operation, Dera Town Police arrested three suspects wanted in different cases.



The police arrested Gulzar, son of Umar Hayat resident of Sahi, in connection with an attempted murder case. A 30-bore pistol along with six cartridges was recovered from his possession. Two other suspects, Muhammad Haseeb, son of Amanat, and Tanseer, son of Bashir residents of Ruknu, were arrested in connection with a case registered in local police station against them



All three suspects were taken into custody, and further investigation was in progress.



Meanwhile, Daraban Police arrested a man and a woman travelling on a passenger bus at Daraban Check Post and recovered three kilograms of hashish and 1,600 grams of ice (crystal methamphetamine) from their possession.



The operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Sadar Division Asif Mahmood and the leadership of SHO Daraban Muhammad Saleem.



The arrested suspects were identified as Khan Muhammad, son of Haibat Khan, a resident of Kari Ahmad Shah, Tank, and Musarrat Bibi, wife of Qadir Bakhsh, and a resident of Garhi Sadozai.



During the search, police recovered three kilograms of hashish and 1,600 grams of ice from Khan Muhammad, while one kilogram of hashish was recovered from Musarrat Bibi’s purse.



Separate cases were registered against both suspects, who were subsequently taken into custody for further investigation.



In a major operation against robbery gangs, Paharpur Division Police arrested two suspects allegedly involved in a series of robberies targeting passengers along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route and in surrounding areas, recovering stolen motorcycles, cash, mobile phones, automated teller machine (ATM) cards and other valuables.



The operation was conducted under the leadership of SP Paharpur Division Iqbal Khan Baloch, with the supervision of DSP Paharpur Parvez Shah and DSP Panyala Sardar Alamgir Khan, alongside the respective station house officers, Cadet Zafar Abbas and Aftab Alam Baloch.



Panyala Police arrested Amir Abdullah, son of Saeed Khan, and a resident of Abdul Khel, alleged to be the ringleader of a gang involved in robbing passengers travelling along the CPEC route and committing robberies in adjoining areas.



The police recovered two motorcycles, including a Honda 125 and a CD 70, along with mobile phones allegedly snatched from passengers, two ATM cards, three wallets and three SIM cards.



In a separate breakthrough, Paharpur Police arrested Shahryar, son of Dilbar Khan, a resident of Wanda Baloch, who was allegedly involved in a robbery targeting a TMA employee.



The police recovered Rs310,000 in cash, a Honda 125 motorcycle and another Honda 125 allegedly used in the commission of the crime.



Both suspects were taken into custody, while further investigation was underway to establish their possible involvement in other criminal activities.



Meanwhile , Suburban Circle Police had arrested a seven-member gang allegedly involved in multiple robbery and motorcycle theft cases and recovered 13 stolen motorcycles during an operation conducted under the supervision of SP City Division Muhammad Nauman and the leadership of DSP Suburban Circle Muhammad Imran Kundi.



The operation was carried out by SHO Shorkot Asghar Khan Wazir and his team.



The arrested suspects were identified as Gulab Khan, son of Sadozai, a resident of Muneezabad; Hidayatullah, son of Adam Khan, a resident of Madi; Bahawal Khan, son of Umar Khan, a resident of Dyal Road; Shehzad Khan, son of Rustam, a resident of Thoya Fazil; Alamgir Khan, son of Mustafa, a resident of New Bannu Chungi; Nazar Din, son of Wazir Khan, a resident of Pasha Pul; and Samiullah, son of Shamal Khan, a resident of the Bypass area.



According to police, the suspects were allegedly involved in 13 registered cases of robbery and theft at Shorkot Police Station, including cases registered under Sections 392, 394 and 381 of the Pakistan Penal Code.



The police recovered 11 Honda 125 motorcycles and two CD 70 motorcycles from their possession, taking the total number of motorcycles recovered in the operation to 13.



DPO Ziauddin Ahmad appreciated SHO Shorkot and his team for their performance and commended their efforts in tracing the suspects and recovering stolen property.



SP Paharpur Division Iqbal Khan Baloch said police operations against criminal elements, including thieves and robbers, would continue without discrimination. He added that all possible measures were being taken to maintain peace in Paharpur Division and ensure the safety of passengers travelling along the CPEC route.



DSP Suburban Circle Muhammad Imran Kundi also reiterated the police commitment to continuing action against individuals involved in theft and robbery, emphasising that efforts to protect citizens and their property would remain a priority.



Police said further investigations into all the cases were underway to determine the suspects’ possible involvement in additional criminal activities and facilitate the recovery of any remaining stolen property.
