QUETTA:Unknown armed men shot dead a 10-year-old student and injured his father at Union Council Takra area of Barkhan district on Sunday.
Deputy Commissioner Barkhan Abdullah Khosa told the media persons that the victim Lal Khan along with Masood Ahmed Jan was on way to home when armed assailants opened fire at them and fled from the scene.
As a result, a Masood Ahmed Jan died on the spot while Lal Jan received bullet injuries.
Levies force team on information reached the site and the body and the injured were rushed to nearby hospital where the injured victim treatment was started.
The body of the deceased was handed over to the heirs after completion of medico legal formalities.
The reason for the attack is stated to be a land dispute.
Levies Force has registered a case and cordoned off the entire area and started a search to trace out the killers.
