ISLAMABAD:An appeal has been moved to the Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday, challenging the termination of a case against PTI Chairman pertaining to speeches against state institutions.
Petitioner Abdul Khaleel Kakar had challenged the verdict of Balochistan High Court (BHC). It said that chairman PTI had not joined the investigation but the police had filed case the challan against him to the court.
The petition stated that the BHC had announced the verdict apparently against the facts. PTI Chairman had approached the BHC to quash the FIR and to terminate the arrest warrants against him.
It stated that the former prime minister had leveled allegations against state institutions in his speeches at Zaman Park and BHC terminated the case and arrest warrants against him on August 28.
It prayed the court to set aside the judgment of the BHC and restore the case against PTI’s chief.
