Khanewal: Three workers were rescued after a roof slab of an under-construction house collapsed in Bilal Colony, Khanewal, rescuers said on Wednesday.
Rescue teams rushed to the site immediately after receiving the emergency call and initiated a rescue operation to recover those trapped under the debris.
According to Rescue 1122, the rescuers successfully took three injured persons including Babar (45), Farhan (32) and Sabir (30), out of the debris and shifted them to the hospital for medical treatment.
Rescue officials said, trapped victims were provided immediate first aid, including intravenous (IV) fluid administration, at the scene before being transported to the hospital.
The rescue operation involved 11 emergency vehicles and 48 rescuers, who completed the operation efficiently under the supervision of Rescue Safety Officer Muhammad Imtiaz. The cause of the roof slab collapse is yet to be determined.
