Three killed in clash over land dispute

KARACHI:Three individuals lost their lives in a confrontation between two factions sparked by a land dispute. The clash erupted near the Umar Bin Khattab Mosque in Machar Colony, with a property disagreement fueling the conflict. During the encounter, a man identified as Siraj, also known as Siraji, and his two associates were killed.

Law enforcement swiftly responded to the situation after receiving the report. The Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) from the Kemari Division and the Station House Officer (SHO) from Docks arrived at the scene accompanied by personnel, securing the area.

The prime suspect, Nisar Pathan, allegedly involved in the shooting, along with his brother, was apprehended. Authorities successfully retrieved firearms used in the incident, including a rifle and several pistols. Initial investigations revealed an ongoing land dispute between Nisar Pathan and the deceased, Siraj alias Siraji.

Efforts are underway to apprehend additional individuals connected to the incident as a search operation has been launched. Subsequently, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja, has taken cognizance of the incident and requested a comprehensive report from the Deputy IGP – South.
