Faisalabad: The police deployed officers and personnel at more than 530 mosques and imam bargahs across Faisalabad on Friday to ensure peaceful Juma congregations, with enhanced security, strict checking at sensitive locations and continuous patrolling by specialized units to protect worshippers and maintain law and order.
According to police spokesman Tariq Jutt, the comprehensive security arrangements were made on the directions of City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain, with additional personnel assigned to mosques, imam bargahs and other places of worship to ensure the safety of citizens during Friday prayers.
Police personnel were deployed around major mosques and important religious sites while security checks were intensified at sensitive locations.
The police officials were directed to closely monitor the movement of suspicious individuals and maintain effective surveillance to prevent any untoward incident.
The Elite Force, Dolphin Force and Eagle Squad remained engaged in continuous patrolling during Juma prayers to strengthen security coverage and ensure a prompt response to any potential threat.
Police also carried out checking at designated pickets including biometric verification as part of measures to monitor suspicious movement and enhance security across the city.
CPO Tanveer Hussain said that maintaining peace and order and protecting the lives and property of citizens remained the police department’s foremost priority.
He directed the force to remain vigilant and perform its duties diligently to ensure that worshippers could offer prayers in a peaceful and secure environment.
