Lahore: Secretary Housing Punjab Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, in a meeting held on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, directed all concerned officers and contractors to accelerate development works under the Punjab Development Program and ensure their timely and quality completion.
He made it clear that officers and contractors delivering timely and quality work would be appreciated, while departmental action would be taken against those responsible for incomplete or substandard work.
The secretary directed that the Smart Execution Plan must be implemented in letter and spirit to ensure timely completion of development projects. Under the plan, development works have been divided into three packages, with each package to be completed within a period of three months. He said no project would be left incomplete and completion of every package within the stipulated three-month period would be mandatory.
Noor-ul-Amin Mengal directed that all development works must be completed according to the approved standards and within the specified timelines. He further directed that all ongoing works should be completed before the next monsoon season.
