FAISALABAD:The district environment department imposed a Rs100,000 fine on a factory for emitting smoke and using substandard materials in boilers in the Mansoorabad area on Friday.
According to official sources, an environment department team sealed a boiler and imposed a Rs100,000 fine on the owner on Millat Road. The team also served notices on other factories and asked them to improve the working of boilers in a week or face legal action.
