Hyderabad: Hyderabad police arrested two suspects allegedly involved in mobile phone snatching using fake pistols and recovered two snatched mobile phones and two imitation pistols from their possession.
The police spokesperson told on Wednesday that a police team led by SDPO Husri Wajid Akbar conducted an operation near link road Phullan Khan Baladi on a tip-off and arrested two suspected mobile phone snatchers.
The suspects were allegedly attempting to flee after snatching a mobile phone from a passerby. Police immediately cordoned off the area after receiving information about the incident and arrested both suspects.
The arrested suspects were identified as Fazal, son of Daad Karim Brohi and Abdul Ghafoor son of Ali Gul Brohi.
During a search, police recovered two fake plastic pistols and two snatched mobile phones from their possession.
A case crime no. 368/2026 was registered against the suspects under section 397 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), while further investigation is underway.
