Quetta: Voluntary Services for Overseas (VSO) in collaboration with UNHCR, and the Government of Baluchistan launched a Multi-Year Resilience Program in education sector of the province.
Balochistan Education Minister Rahila Hameed Durani was the chief guest.
Addressing the launching ceremony, the education minister said with public private partnership, balochistan government is striving to bring reforms in the education sector of the province.
‘Private sector could play a pivotal role in improving the prevailing grim situation of the education in Balochistan,’ she remarked.
She further said, ‘Together, we are transforming the education system by empowering government schoolteachers, students, education champions, children with disabilities, and vocational learners with the tools they need to thrive.
Country Representative VSO Sehar Afsheen, on the occasion, said we have distributed tablets to government teachers, students, and education champions, along with storybooks, bags, and recreational kits for s
chools.
Assistive devices have also been provided to children with disabilities, while cash vouchers have been given for girls’ transportation.
Each of these resources is designed to enrich the educational journey of our future leaders, she maintained.
Mr. Seher Afsheen, Country Representative of VSO, highlighted the crucial role of volunteerism and digitalization in today’s educational landscape, reinforcing the program’s mission to build resilience through education.
She thanked government for acknowledging the collective effort of all participants, partners, and donors in making this program a success.
