Quetta: Deputy Conservator of Forests and Wildlife of Gwadar Asadullah on Wednesday said that wildlife conservation is a top priority for the department, illegal hunting would not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict legal action to be taken against violators.
He said that operations conducted by the Gwadar Forest and Wildlife Department across various areas to curb the illegal hunting of quail.
Acting on his directives, departmental teams carried out operations in various localities and issued stern warnings to hunters to desist from illegal hunting in the future.
The Deputy Conservator emphasized that wildlife is a vital component of the natural environment and ecological balance saying that efforts are underway to ensure the prevention of illegal hunting and the effective enforcement of laws to protect wildlife; legal action, including the registration of FIRs, would be taken against any violations.
He urged to citizens and parents in particular to dissuade children from engaging in illegal hunting and to cooperate with the department in its wildlife conservation efforts.
