LAHORE:The cabinet committee on legislative business under the chairmanship of Punjab Minister for Law and Cooperatives Raja Basharat on Thursday approved various proposals.
The 77th meeting of the cabinet committee on legislative business was held at the Civil Secretariat in which Provincial Minister for Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun, Additional Chief Secretary Home and Secretaries of relevant departments were also present in the meeting.
The proposals approved by the committee included guidelines for setting up small hydropower projects at 35 locations in Punjab, a 10 percent increase in vehicle inspection certification fees for the current financial year, nomination of Taha Muhammad for chairman of the Punjab Land Development Authority, approval of Punjab Luxury House Tax Rules 2014, resignation of non-official member of Ravi Urban Development Authority Amjad Waheed and nomination of Zaheer Khokhar, Syed Muhammad Ali, Farrukh Afzaal and Wasim Akhtar in the board of Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power Company.
The proposal to extend the scope of Lahore Walled City to the whole province and the proposal of MoU for promotion of research activities between Fisheries Department and Veterinary University Lahore were postponed for further consideration.
