MULTAN: District administration has decided to tighten the noose around tax defaulters by launching a comprehensive crackdown against them across the district.
This was disclosed in a meeting presided by Assistant Commissioner Sadar Adnan Badar held here on Firday.
AC Adnan Badar said that Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ali Shahzad has directed officers concerned to launch a crackdown against tax defaulters. He said that it has been decided to start action against defaulters of FBR taxes, agriculture taxes and others taxes without any discrimination. He directed assistant director land record centre to block properties of the defaulters.
He said that the defaulters would not be allowed to sell their properties after blockage adding that blocked properties would be auctioned in the next phase.
