ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib Thursday said that government would maintain peace at all costs in the country as the government was determined to take all necessary steps to protect the lives and properties of people.
“The government would not allow anyone to take the law into their own hands. Those who tried to will be held accountable, ” he said while talking to a private news channel.
Replying to a question, he said the government did not want any confrontation with protesters even though the state had tried to convince the leadership of TLP, adding that the government was committed to a peaceful dialogue process for resolving all issues.
